With over 4000 [ed. note: now 34,000+] people now doing this Protocol, one of our original members discovered a formula for calculating how many calories to eat in Phase 3 which has been working phenomenally well for everyone so far:
Take your average daily weight loss in Phase 2, multiply by 3500 calories, and eat that many calories per day.
The formula is based on 3500 calories per pound and since your average daily weight loss x 3500 calories is about what your body was burning in Phase 2, that's how many it will burn in Phase 3.
Some examples:
1) You lost an average of 0.5 lbs per day in Phase 2. So, 0.5 x 3500 = 1750 cals/day
2) You lost an average of 1.1 lbs per day in Phase 2. So, 1.1 x 3500 = 3850 cals/day
Yeah, sounds like a lot. But the thing is, those that have eaten UNDER the above calculated totals have GAINED weight, and those that eat the above calculated totals do NOT gain weight.
