Tighten and Repair
The below post by Judi, one of our members, colloquially explains what "Tighten and Repair" is. FWIW, I refer to it as "Tighten and Readjust," as "repair" implies "damage," and I don't believe any 'damage' is being done. The fundamental principle behind "T&R" is patience. While following this Protocol, your body will NEVER keep losing, losing, losing, losing, day after day after day. It won't happen, so please don't expect it. You will DEFINITELY stall. There will DEFINITELY be days where you don't lose anything (or possibly gain a little). This is normal, and expected. So RELAX. As long as you're following the Protocol, it's working. Your internal organs (including your skin, our largest organ) need(s) time to adjust as fat is liberated. You're going to ache a little. (Simeons mentions this.) You're going to stall a little. It's all part of the process. For some this might be 2 or 3 days. For others, it can last for a week or two. But T&R is natural and should be embraced. Otherwise, you would deflate like a balloon and be left with sagging skin, something that is virtually unheard of with this Protocol (precisely attributed to your body and skin 'tightening and readjusting.')
You may be tempted to post panicked questions like, "I haven't lost any weight for two days in a row and have been following the Protocol!! What's wrong!??" But, as this is one of the first "Must Reads" post we'll simply point you back to here. NOTHING is "wrong." If you're following the Protocol (and you MUST be following the Protocol, no cheats, etc.), it's working.

Tighten & Repair Time. R2 P2 D31: Back to Shedding ... Dropped a Sudden 3 Lbs. More! Yeahhhh!
"So, After shedding 26 Lbs. in 25 days, my body suddenly remembered that it had to take a break. I was wondering when that was going to happen. I was even starting to make plans to stop my P2 early, just to give my skin and entire body some time to recuperate. However, my body knew best ... as always! :) It decided to focus on tightening and repairing for five whole days, and I was relieved.
I know what you must be thinking ... that it was more appropriate for me to want to shed the pounds ... and believe me, I do want to shed the pounds really badly once and for all ... but not to the detriment of my skin and muscles! About five days before I went into Tighten & Repair mode, my entire body hurt! I had lost 26 Lbs. in only 25 days and my muscles definitely needed me to stop shedding the pounds really badly! I'm happy to say that now, after those 5 days of T&R, I'm not in pain anymore ... and my body and skin do look and feel much tighter! :) My body is so clever! :) ... And I suddenly dropped 3 Lbs. since yesterday ... So, the dropping continues today!
I just wanted to post because I want you to be aware that you need your T&R time and you should expect it, and even embrace it, as opposed to feeling frustrated because you're not losing pounds. Our bodies know best, trust the protocol and trust your bodies! :) Please, embrace this T&R time! It's for your own benefit! :)
So, now I'm on Day 31 with 29 Lbs. gone ... with my nice tight skin and body. I won't have to stop my P2 early ... My ketostix are back to "Large", the last purple square of the scale. So, on to the next additional 12 days of P2! Happy Shedding and Maintaining, Boys and Girls! :)"
