The spray will last forever if it is stored in a cool, dark place away from electronics.
Your spray cannot go through the x-ray machine at the airport. It will be erased.
Do NOT pack it in your suitcase. Some baggage is x-rayed and you never know which ones.
It is better to have your spray hand checked than to have it ruined! Take it in your pocket in a plastic bag.
Before you get to the security pass through gate, hand the bottle to the TSA agent for hand inspection. They are used to hand checking homeopathic medicines. (See info below).
*UPDATE 4/11/2011: TSA said the new policy is that if you have a liquid that cannot be x-rayed, they must pat you down and do explosives-residue testing on you and everything you brought. Allow extra time to get through security.
Also, we can't control or predict the procedures that this or any other country may have in place or put in place. Some countries may have far more strict safety protocols than currently in place in the U.S. What we say herein is reliable (but not guaranteed) for travel in the USA as of 4/17/11. This could change.
When you have passed through the check point, put your bottle in your carry-on.
You can carry the WARNING LABEL from inside box:

Admin on January 29, 2010 at 3:22pm - The product is shipped SPECIFICALLY via USPS and not UPS/FEDEX because the manufacturer KNOWS it is safe and not
x-rayed, etc. during shipment. ALSO, on the outside of the box are warning labels to NOT expose it to any electro-magnetic radiation (this was an extra precaution I added about a month ago mainly for overseas shipments, just in case).
So far, the ONLY person that has had their spray erased is the one above that put it through the xray scanner at the airport. I get people emailing me ALL THE TIME worried they erased their spray because it was next to their cell phone, radio, computer monitor, etc (fill in the blank) and the truth is, it would have to be next to a STRONG magnet to be erased (one that would erase a cassette tape) and having it next to an electronic device is just ill-advised but in most cases will not be a problem, unless it is left there for a long time and very close to it.
There are strong magnets in loudspeakers, CRT (not LCD) monitors/TVs, and motors like in a refrigerator. But plain electronics don't have enough 'juice' to harm the spray unless they are literally on top of each other for long periods of time.
Traveling with the spray near your cell phone is not a good idea either.
